Some little practice things over the summer. I’m still trying to find a style so I was just having a little play around.

Messing around again with styles and characters.

There’s some sketchbook stuff coming your way! I managed to finally scan it all in!

Well that’s very sweet! I am extremely uncomfortable with my art, I don’t think I have a huge amount of talent and  I’ve ever completed something that I’m not embarrassed of, I worry every time I have to put something up on this blog! I’m hoping to get to a point where I’ll be okay with my art instead of refusing to be open about it!

The almost final rendering of my first Illustration project of the year. It was to illustrate an image for an article about a cyclops trying to find love.

It’s been a long time since I updated! I was busy all summer learning to sew and make clothing patterns so I unfortunately didn’t actually have much time for any actual art except for sketchbook stuff which I will hopefully upload when I have free time!

I’m back ready for my 3rd year at Ringling and my 2nd year in their Illustration program. Let’s see what this year makes!

Oil landscapes. The first was my attempt at a panorama, it took a lot more time than I anticipated, as this was about 30” wide.

The second was painted at sunset and done in a single 2 hour sitting.

The third was my first landscape ever!

Colour studies in oil paint! Oil and I have not got on so far, but I have improved so much this semester. Though, I am thankful that I should not have to use oils again!

So I finished my first semester of figure class. I know I learned a lot, but it is hard still being two semesters behind everyone in my class. My plan for the summer is to practice practice practice!
